A Bit of History

Founded in 1977, Walker Geophysical Company specialized in seismic imaging of abandoned underground coal mine workings. The high resolution techniques developed found application in numerous projects among them salt dome storage of petroleum and natural gas. Today, in 2013, we apply innovative marine seismic technology to image fracture zones, broken seals and collapse features for injection well siting to avoid fluid migration pathways that could contaminate aquifers. We explore for shallow hydrocarbons in the near-shore and rivers, and run pre-drilling and tunnel construction site surveys with our highly productive state-of-the-art solid digital streamers.
